AVAILABLE POSITIONS and GRANTS
PhD in Computational Sciences and Engineering
Students admitted with a BS/BA degree choose
between the following two offers:
1. Tuition waiver (23,000 YTL/year) plus 1,100 YTL monthly
stipend. The monthly stipend increases to 1,500 YTL after the student passes the
PhD qualifier.
2. Tuition waiver (23,000 YTL/year) plus 750 YTL monthly stipend
and housing. The monthly stipend increases to 1,150 YTL after the student passes
the PhD qualifier.
Students admitted with a MS/MA degree choose between the following two offers
1. Tuition waiver (23,000 YTL/year) plus 1,300 YTL monthly
stipend. The monthly stipend increases to 1,500 YTL after the student passes the
PhD qualifier.
2. Tuition waiver (23,000 YTL/year) plus 950 YTL monthly stipend
and housing. The monthly stipend increases to 1,150 YTL after the student passes
the PhD qualifier.

Students admitted with a BS/BA degree choose between
the following two offers:
1. Tuition waiver (23,000 YTL/year) plus 1,100 YTL monthly

Additional Benefits
1. All students receive a laptop computer and private
health insurance.
2. Students with successful standing receive travel funds to attend
scientific conferences and meetings.
3. PhD students may be offered monthly stipend up to 2,500 YTL through
externally funded research grants and projects.
4. Students who receive their stipend from other sources (like TUBITAK
scholarships or externally funded research grants and projects) are eligible
for the following benefits provided by the university:
- Research Award: 1,125 YTL
- Free Housing: This includes all costs except
telephone expenses.
- Research Award for PhD students: 2,000 YTL/year after
they pass the qualifier.
- Housing Allowance for PhD students: 350 YTL/month for
students who do not use the housing benefit.
